Free financial aid events available to Minnesota students and families this fall!
The series, running September 27 through October 25, will cover general college application and financial aid information, details on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Minnesota Dream Act for undocumented students, and other ways to pay for college.
I have attached a fact sheet as well as some information below.
· All sessions will have simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, Somali and Hmong. Information for families about registering for the series is available here.
· Students who attend will be entered to win a $500 scholarship!
· Financial aid professionals will also be online to answer live Q and A from participants during the sessions.
· These sessions are a collaborative effort between the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, Minnesota Department of Education, ECMC The College Place and Minnesota Goes to College.

LS-H Middle/High School Homecoming is next week 9/19-9/23. The Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, September 24th from 9-11 pm.

Le Sueur-Henderson Homecoming Coronation is going to be Monday, September 19th at 2:20pm. Parents are welcome! The coronation will be held in the High School Auditorium. We hope to see you there!!
Le Sueur County Public Health will be hosting a drive-thru flu shot clinic for anyone 5 years and older on Monday, September 26th from 2-6:30 p.m. at the Le Center Ambulance Hall.

Students in physical science were exploring features of optics. Some stations were focusing on refraction, diffraction, or reflection, with either light or water.
Students in chemistry are investigating and calculating the amount of Vitamin-C in a supplement tablet and comparing their results with the claims of the manufacturer.

Congratulations to our seniors for signing to athletic programs at their future College/University! Grace Wagner (Gustavus), Nathan Gregersen (Bethany Lutheran) and Hailey Juarez (Jacksonville University).
Some highlights from the LSH High School band and choir trip to Texas! Students got to see the Riverwalk, the Alamo, the Mission San Jose, and have a school exchange with the band and choir programs at Karen Wagner High School in San Antonio. Such a wonderful trip with incredible students!
